NIH’s new RFI on extramural administrative burden gives research offices a time-limited chance to submit workflow-level evidence on duplication, data reuse, interoperability and AI. The notice is for planning only, so the practical task is to separate fixes NIH could make itself from changes that would need wider federal action.
